Collagen chilli hot chocolate

With the winter months taking hold, this warming treat is perfect to enjoy any time of the day.

Ingredients - makes 2 cups

  • 2 teaspoons Simply Collagen PURE
  • 1 3/4 cups milk (cow/coconut/almond/soy all ok)
  • 1/4 cup cream
  • 2 tablespoons of cacao powder or cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract (or essence)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 pinch of ground chilli
  • 1 cinnamon stick or 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Stevia, maple syrup or sugar to sweeten as required


  1. Combine the collagen, milk, cacao, vanilla, nutmeg, chilli and sweetener in a medium pot and stir until well blended.
  2. Slowly add the cream and then add the cinnamon.
  3. Bring to a simmer, then remove pot from heat, cover tightly and then steep for 1 hour.
  4. Reheat to the desired temp and enjoy!
