Chilli collagen hot chocolate
With the winter months taking hold, this warming treat is perfect to enjoy any time of the day.
Ingredients - makes 2 cups
- 2 teaspoons Simply Collagen PURE
- 1 3/4 cups milk (cow/coconut/almond/soy all ok)
- 1/4 cup cream
- 2 tablespoons of cacao powder or cocoa
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract (or essence)
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 pinch of ground chilli
- 1 cinnamon stick or 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Stevia, maple syrup or sugar to sweeten as required
- Combine the collagen, milk, cacao, vanilla, nutmeg, chilli and sweetener in a medium pot and stir until well blended.
- Slowly add the cream and then add the cinnamon.
- Bring to a simmer, then remove pot from heat, cover tightly and then steep for 1 hour.
- Reheat to the desired temp and enjoy!
